Amari Peters, age 13, is worried about her brother. Quinton had gone missing a few months before, and no one has any information on him. Amari and her mother think it might be because of the mysterious job that he wouldn’t talk about. He had excelled at school, but then instead of going to a great college, he got a job for a mysterious employer, and he wouldn’t tell anyone what he was doing for it. Then, 6 months ago, he disappeared. The police could find no leads and gave up the search. Life has been hard on Amari and her mother ever since. But when Amari gets sent a suitcase with the name of Quinton Peters, everything changes. She goes on an illusional magical ride on a flying boat with Quinton, and he tells her about the secret supernatural world that had been hiding for the entire time. In this thrilling adventure, Amari goes on a suspenseful search for her brother, along with some friends to help her along the way. But trying to balance staying in the Bureau of Supernatural Affairs and searching for her brother is a tough challenge.
