In the days leading up to Halloween, the CMS LMC is transformed from a nice place to read, to a race to find the best pumpkin decorator in the faculty! From October 28th to October 31st all students and staff can vote and participate in crowning the contest winner! After the ballots have been counted and the winner is official, members of the CTV news channel will announce the winner for all of CMS to know. If you want to take place in this fun spooky event it’s too late this year, but next year pop by the LMC in the morning before the first bell to vote.
Now we have a few thoughts about the contest from our one and only library media specialist, Mrs. Metke: “The Staff Pumpkin Decorating Contest was an overwhelming success. We had 17 teachers submit decorated pumpkins. The eye-catching display and ability to cast votes created a lot of interest and excitement among the students and staff. The contest’s goal was to foster a fun school environment, and we met that goal. Many teachers have said they already have ideas for decorating their pumpkins for next year’s contest. I guess this means we’ve started a fun annual tradition! I’m excited to see what other fun events we will enjoy throughout the year.”
Thank You Ms. Metke.
Wow, this sounds like a very fun activity! Did you participate?
