The Original Pancake House Opening

The Original Pancake House Opening

The original Pancake House in downtown Westport opened around a month and a half ago on January 11th. People have been waiting for a new store to open above the gelato store, La Fenice since the nail salon closed. Neither of us has gotten a chance to try it yet, but we might after hearing most of its good reviews. Even though the name can fool many, we also took a look at the menu and noticed the variety of choices at the restaurant. The menu options include meat and eggs, omelets, eggs Benedict, a fully served family breakfast, waffles, sandwiches, and many other specialty breakfast options to choose from. We interviewed some of our peers and asked them for their opinions on this new edition to town. This is what one 6th-grade girl had to say. “I think it was very good and the restaurant offers a lot of options other than just pancakes. I got the pancakes, and I thought they were very good, but they were kind of small and floppy. Other than that, they had a nice taste and were pretty fluffy. The atmosphere and experience were cool, and they brought you up the stairs to eat. It’s also in a good location so if kids want to go there they can eat and then walk around town after.”

Another friend visited the pancake house with her family and friends and said that she really enjoyed it. She gave the restaurant a 9.5 out of 10 and a four-star rating. A third classmate said that they visited the restaurant but didn’t enjoy the experience as much. He said that in the end, the food was good, but it took forever for the food to come and the service was absolutely horrible. We believed him, but since this was the only bad review we have received we still think that this new restaurant is worth visiting. So the next time you feel like a hardy breakfast with family or friends, give The Original Pancake House a try.
