How To Make Snickerdoodle Cookies!

This recipe makes soft and chewy cookies that the whole family will enjoy. I really like making them, and I hope you will too!

To make these cookies, it takes about 25 minutes.

The ingredients that you will need are:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 1/2 cups of sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla
  • 2 3/4 cups of flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons of cream of tartar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon of salt

Cinnamon-Sugar Mixture:

  • 1/4 cups of sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons of cinnamon


  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar for 4-5 minutes until it appears light and fluffy. Then, add the eggs and vanilla to the bowl, and cream it for another 1-2 minutes.
  • Stir in flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt, just until combined.
  • In a small bowl, stir together sugar and cinnamon.
  • Take the dough and roll it into small balls until they are round and smooth, then drop them into the cinnamon-sugar mixture and coat well.
  • Place them on a tray lined with aluminum foil, and bake at 350 for 9-11 minutes. Let them cool for several minutes before removing them from the pan.
