Who Was Martin Luther King Junior?
Martin was a Baptist Minister and a social activist. He helped lead the Civil Rights Movement, which lasted from the mid 1950s, up until his assassination in 1968. He believed in nonviolent protesting. He was inspired by Ghandi, another nonviolent activist, who believed in the power of words instead of violence.

Martin was a very important man that showed it doesn’t matter what our skin looks like, or what gender we are, or how old we may be. He let people see how we all are important in this world no matter what. Martin might seem like just another famous person, but he wasn’t just famous, he shook the world in a good way. Instead of using violence he used his heart and his words. He didn’t throw punches or kick his feet he asked and fought with peace and harmony.

Martin impacted the lives of many, many people. He impacted people whether they were alive during his time, or after. Martin is very well known for the March on Washington-in 1963, which he organized. He also organized the Montgomery Bus Boycott, a protest on how Rosa Parks got arrested for not giving up her seat on the bus. When Martin heard about her arrest, he knew that it was wrong, so he decided to lead a protest.
